Soul Talk

by Nearly but not quite   Apr 16, 2007

Strange to think
That in writing this
I am opening my soul
And laying it bare
For your scrutiny
For your criticism
Hoping for your praise.
I won't show this
To my friends or family
But to perfect strangers
I can open my soul
And let the words
Flow out, unchecked
From my finger tips.
If I knew you
I might be embarassed
But I don't
I've never met you
I never will
So it's fine
I can show you my soul
Tell you my secrets
And not be embarassed
That you know
Because you'll never tell
Anyone I know
Anonymity is lonely,
But comforting too.
