Rain

by Dana   Apr 17, 2007

Purple clouds bring a light rain
To the peaceful town below
An evening shower to cool the rage
Of the friend against the foe

A soothing rain to calm the nerves
Of the society turned to war
A once serene town no longer silent
Deep in a rage forevermore

The rain comes pouring down
Over the houses and the shops
Shimmering in the city streets
Bouncing off tin rooftops

Cleansing the streets and the worries of the folks
Living in this no longer placid town
The rain came and helped the city
Their world turned upside down

A peaceful shower for a peaceful town
Reborn, the silence and the tears
A joyful cry for the new society
A soothing rain to calm the fears
