Reaper of butterflies

by broken wings   Apr 17, 2007

Captivated by his light
in the midst of her darkness
but she has a taste just as sweet
her love remains lifeless

this wanderer isn't lost
he's home amongst the broken bones
he's been their reaper of butterflies
the fluttering the wings of life he knows

she breaths the lace of faded light
that then faintly gives away
the last of her deafened heartbeat
as her pain now sways

and in the presence
of this becoming pair
the hunter becomes the hunted
shooting holy water, i saw them there
