When your body fails you

by SuicidalHaze   Apr 19, 2007

The doctor said that just one more day spent on the outside and he would be dead

Didn't want to admit that he had a problem because he wanted everyone to believe that he was normal

John had anorexia and thought that it was not normal because he was a guy

The signs were there but he just ignored them each day looking to the skies for answers to unanswered prayers

The battle had taken a hold of him for the past three years

And his only form of comfort was to turn his head to his pillow at night and drown his sorrows with tears

His best friend tried to help but he turned her away with hurtful words

It's not that he meant to reject her help but he was just too scared

Scared to admit that he was sick and slowly killing himself

For every finger to his throat was another minute gone

How could his body have failed him

Where could he have gone wrong

Jon had one more day to live and this was the message that he wanted me to deliver

Stay true to your image, stay true to your wealth... but most importantly stay true to your health.

On January 4th John Wayne Medeiros died of Anorexia Nervosa, but in my dreams, in my soul and in my heart he is still alive

Never let your body fail you
