Our favorite wine

by KeyxMashingxParody   Apr 19, 2007

You call to me,
And I look back.
You turn the other cheek,
I stumble off track.

I listen for your voice,
You silence each breath.
You took away my choice,
I died when you left.

You say you cannot love me,
I say I always will.
You say I can't feel anything,
Yet your touch gave me chills.

I listen for your voice,
You silence each breath.
You took away my choice,
I died when you left.

These memories, they haunt me,
Of each and every time.
We shared our feelings,
Every glass of wine.

I listen for your voice,
You silence each breath.
You took away my choice,
I died when you left.

So I sit here tonight,
In memory of you.
Our favorite wine...
The bottle is half full.

    I get it.
    And yet
    I don't get it.
    I have to say
This poem is kind of dry.
    It caught my interest
But not as much as your
    Other poems did.

Great Job....I really liked it. The optomistic aspect of it was really great too. I typically dont go for the rhyming schemes cuz they can become cheesy in a hurry but this poem was outstanding. 5/5 from me.
