Black Memories

by Seronum   Apr 20, 2007

Failing between this broken silence,
I am captive in the moment of despair.
You told me you loved me one day,
Drowning, I was lost when you were never there.
But between the shades of gray,
there was something in your eyes.
It was distortion and hate,
The inner hope of lies.
You are the disaster,
The victim to a dying past.
hanging by a thread so thin,
Your heart it could not last.
We are two strangers now
so lost and forgotten inside
the day you tore me apart
is a day that cannot hide.
And so long as the photographs stay
Memories of us cant die.
But now they are burning in my hands
Theres no reason to ask why.

There was a mistake in the first word, I think you meant to write 'Falling'. This was a good poem, it had a few errors, but that's fixable. I really liked this one as well. Memories are such a painful things at times.

  • Another great poem.
The flow was great and the emotion was deep.

    'Memories of us cant die.
But now they are burning in my hands'

    Beautiful 5/5
