Sleep

by Edward Elric   Apr 21, 2007

Your heart beats besides mine
Your breath on my skin feels divine
Your touch sends shivers down my spine
Tell me you love me, just give me a sign

Sleep, my love, please don't cry
When morning comes we'll both fly
So sleep, my love, and feel no fear
When you wake up I'll still be here

I need to tell you something, so please come here
I feel so lucky just to have you near
So how come I see a hint of a tear?
Are you not happy with me, my dear?

When you look at me, your eyes are cold
What happened to the look that shone like gold?
Your look tells me you want to go away
If you want to, why do you stay?

Sleep, my love, please don't cry
When morning comes we'll both fly
So sleep, my love, and feel no fear
When I'll wake up, will you still be here?

This is nice. I actually thought it could be sung out loud.
    all the best.
