To: The Man I Love

by Laurie Tran   Apr 23, 2007

Dear [Man that I love],

I wanted you to realize,
How long I've been keeping this in.
All the times I've thought of you,
bringing goosebumps to my skin.

Moving to a new city,
I felt really out of place.
Thanks to you, you got me through,
my insecurities, you've erased.

Slowly and softly, I began to fall
Almost crashed but luckily you caught me
It's been five years since then,
You're still making my heart jump with glee.

There was this one year,
where you meant nothing to me at all.
I had the chance to be yours,
Sadly, regret is all I can recall.

I haven't seen you for awhile after that,
then one day I finally did.
I guess you lost your feelings for me,
Now you know I'm too much of a kid.

As immature as I may act,
my feelings are as mature as they can be.
I'm too scared to tell you I still love you,
Here's to hoping you still love me.

Love,
Laurie Tran
