Partly Cloudy

by Laurie Tran   Jan 28, 2010

The world feels as if it'd end,
He's nowhere to be seen.
Her dominance over him shut him out.
The people below are blind in the darkness;
Constantly wishing for a beam of daylight.

He's fighting for a place in the skies,
She's unwilling to let him through.
Stretching herself too far,
She's too dark and too thick;
And his radiance can't break through her.

It's constantly raining without him.
She drowns the world in her tears.
He can't stop the storms and gales,
If only a ray of his light would show,
Only he can make her world shine again.

He's going to give up on the earth forever,
He's willing to let it all end.
But the seriousness strikes her in the face,
She picks herself up and clears the space,
And sunshine can brighten the world once more.
