Torcherous Season -the feasting-

by myshiningstar14   Apr 24, 2007

This torcherous
season,
burns with reason.
Amber soul ripped,
crimson blood slipped
into the weight of me.
The world spins around
me,
-Oh what cursed realm
have I stepped into.-

Dreams exempting,
cream into nothing
as they melt in my
hands
-yet in the end they
turn into reality,
your face as it burns
within me-
my beauty seems to
vanish as I look at
my heart on the line
-oh the heart I've
waited for, for all
times.-

It's time for the
feast,
the feasting of bleeding
hearts
-in the dreams afraid
of waking-
never taking a chance,
-in the heart afraid
of waking-
never learning to dance.

This torcherous season,
burns with my needing
of you,
carved in the brokenness,
in crystal tears that
penetrate,
threatening
you my life,
you my fate;
and there lyes our love
stilled,
untouched,
unbroken.

Vanity yells,
pulling at us,
tugging,
poking at us
trying to break us.

Its lips moisten,
waiting to swallow
us in the throat of
its revenge.
It places a seed of
fear in our minds,
trying to make us
give up,
give up and leave.

It's time for the
feast,
the feasting of
dry, thirsty souls,
longing for love
-just one touch-
slipping away with
each passing day,
for the feasting of
tear-streaked faces
trying to wipe it
all away
-star gazed eyes,
glisten,
trying to hide the
lyes-

This torcherous
season,
bleeds with reason,
this torcherous
season,
burns with my
needing of you;
for in the end one
thing will stand,
just close your
eyes and feel our
love that you hold
in your hands.

This torcherous
season,
and all I see is
your face.
This torcherous
season,
and I'm holding
you forever close
in our sweet embrace.

This torcherous
season,
bleeds with reason,
this torcherous
season,
burns with my
needing of you;
for in the end baby,
just close your eyes
and feel,
feel our love
that you hold
in your hands.

.....for nothing will
break this beautiful
bond, not even the
season of torcherous
souls.

**to my baby-nothing will bring us down. i love you so much*

Sorry i haven't been more attentive. It is my loss . This poem was great. I like how it speaks of the hardships of love. The torture of wanting. Its as if relationships have a duality, the greatness of love but the binding relentlessness of needing. i loved it.

A dark poem, but the last stanza gave it a sweet touch. The last stanza was also my favorite. how long have you been with this love of yours? he seems wonderful.
