The kid you left behind

by stacey pearce   Apr 25, 2007

Why did you have to leave?
why did you have to go?,
you where such an inspiration to me
guiding me with all the knowledge you no,

a 16 year old girl
that just walks right by,
that 16 year old girl
that girl you asked why she cries,

"i no what you are going through!
i no its hard and tough!
I've been through a lot of s**t like that to
made to feel invisible and useless,

a good friend
i would of made in you,
the best friend
i did make it's true,

all the money
we made that night,
not for drugs
to give your kid a better life,

I'll never forget the night that you died
wishing i would been there with you instead i lied,
I'll never forget the night that you died
leaving someone you loved like your kid behind.

i wrote this poem because my best friend died trying to give her son a better life in 2005. She was a prostitute and she never used drugs. she died while she was working a man beat her and drugged her. She left her 10 month old boy behind. if anyone can relate to me mail me at (Stacey9799@hotmail.co.UK). she was only 19. Christina i love darling and I'll always miss you.
