A Place Within me

by rachyBBY   Apr 25, 2007

There's a place within me that's dying to break free
Far deeper than anyone can imagine to see

Pushing and struggling to get some fresh air
As I protest, pretending it's not there

Smiling on the outside because that's what people want
To always seem happy, even when they're not

Like robots, we hide our feelings inside
Pretending that everything's always alright

A place within me that's rarely ever shown
Hidden inside, remaining unknown

Bothering no one with my problems within
Smiling and laughing, and faking again

When will it stop, when will it end?
Falling in step with everyone's trends

Pretending to be something I definitely am not,
As the real me is slowly being forgot.
