Its not fair

Im in despair.

My heart is hurting--

Does no one care?

Its like a dare--

Im in despair.

I pretend to laugh--

I pretend to care.

I cannot see, I cannot hear

I cannot fight (a person or fear)

My heart is the one that continues to cry

Even though my eyes are dry.

Each time I laugh,

Im really crying.

And even though you dont see it

Im slowly dying.

Cant you see

Im dying inside?

I cant protect

The things I hide.

I cant talk back

(I cant do that)

Im crying now

From my heart and eyes.

The words I utter

Are truly lies.

Help me, someone,

Anyone, please!

Open the door,

Please find the keys!

Let me out,

Let me be free.

Let me be who

I want to be.

BUT

Its not fair,

Im in despair

My heart still hurts

And no one cares.
