Forever Gone... Forever Lost
For this is to remember you
This is a little something I wrote just to let you know
That I miss you, for I wish I was there the night you were lost

Dark skies wrapped around you for this would be your last flight
What could be the cause for you being gone
A Pilot's Ego...A Leader's Indecision...A Bad Mistake
For this is why your life was taking so fast so abrupt

Your bird clipped the tail rotor of the one in front as you were coming in
One flipped and rolled, sliding down the embankment taking everything in sight
The other landed hard sitting safely atop the hill
For that is why I lost you my friend, My best friend

An accident on a stormy night for which no helicopter should have left base
A crash site for which I will always remember to my death
For you now sit high above on a hilltop quietly
Viewing the ocean were you sleep
Rest in Peace

Telling my friend Bob how he died years after the fact. Had a dream about this the other night and really got me thinking. So I wrote it down. I hope you all enjoy my work.
