If only

by ryeann   Apr 28, 2007

Justin, if only you knew

the pain we've been through.

the tears that we've cried,

the sighs that we've sighed.

The journey to recovery,

has taken ourselves to discovery.

To find who we are,

with you away so far.

You can't make jokes and stand up tall,

or catch the tears that may fall.

Justin, if only you knew

we'd do anything for you.

To stop the pain,

would've been such a gain.

If only you knew,

that broken hearts are hard to mend,

and how easily they begin to bend.

God said he would pick up the broken pieces.

But another day goes by,

and everyday I cry.

I leave a trail of my broken heart,

and God's picking up every part.

Until the day when it's time to go,

the pieces follow me,

IF ONLY YOU COULD KNOW.
