Coming Back To Life

Yesterday I died
A torturous death -
I died at the hand of Love.

I was dragged to
The edge of reality
And by his strong hands I was shoved.

I fell forever
Into the darkened pit
Of never-ending pain.

I tumbled and tossed
Reaching for something to grab
But there was nothing - I grabbed in vain.

I continued to fall
Finally coming to rest
On a sharpened glimmering knife.

I had been murdered by Love,
And as my blood seeped from my body
I realized there was no coming back to life.
