Awaiting a kiss

by danyael   Apr 30, 2007

The stars are my audience
The cosmos my cradle
And the earth my grave
Suns and moons
Nothing more than
Days and nights

People are starving
And people are fat
This is the way
Harmony exists
But only in the grandest
Most mortally imperceptible realms

Justice compassion bravery truth
To which would you build a shrine
To what would you dedicate a lifetime?
A perfectly meaningless crime?
The pursuit of the devine?
The eradication of the sublime?

To search to build to dream
Those are the human condition
And the conditions by which any
And too almost all find meaning
Except the meaningless of course,
Even if apparently coincidentally
Meaning actually discovers them

Hiding destroying and scheming
People die and people live
But we are all dead, all really, already dead.
Thats the comedy tragedy and drama of it

All are one of this truly universal dilemma of triplicates
The only meaning we find create or destroy is illusion
To create truths founded on lies is doom
And Im sick of falling from grace
Through virtually endless perpetual space
Destiny literally nothing

Some live as the bible says
in the shadow of death
I died in the shadow of life
What have I accomplished
For searching building and dreaming
Ill tell you because no one else has the heart to or stomach for
Idealistic adultery.

Discovering everything created can be destroyed
And every dream brings a nightmare
What a game to play
This life thing is the greatest
Thats what theyll seem all to say
Almost all anyway, almost all indeed, save one; the unsavable, or damned,-if you will.. me
