Stereotypes

by Dana   May 1, 2007

Why does everyone think I'm weird
Because I like hearts and stars and skulls
I use words like "spiffy" and "nifty" for fun
I wear rubber bands and ponytail holders to hide my arms
I'm not hiding a secret
But everyone thinks I am
I paint my nails black or red,
The colors of death and blood
I want to dye my hair black
But afraid to
People label me
Emo
Goth
I'm neither
I don't believe in labels
And just because I look depressed
Like to write to express myself
Wear dark clothes
And hide my wrists
Doesn't make me a stereotype
I'm just me
This is my style
The way I am
But people seem to have a problem with it
They all think I'm weird

I know this is easier said than done... but try not to care! I have a different problem.. Im a cheerleader and EVERYONE thinks im stuck up or snobby and really Im the total opposite. The people who dont attempt to know you past the surface, arent even worth your time darling
