Why'd You Have To Go

by Daz Mellow   May 1, 2007

Everyday the sun would rise.
Every evening it would set.
Like when people say hello.
They always leave with good-bye.
You never did.
You never did...

Sometimes I wonder.
Where you are,
Who you are.
I wish there was a way for me to know.
An answer for this question,
But I never asked...
I never wanted you to leave.
So why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?

I've heard stories.
I've heard fairytales.
You weren't the one to tell me.
But they were about you.
I never knew if it was true.
I wouldn't find out, but I wanted to.

Is it true you loved my mother?
Is it true you loved me too?
Is it true you'd give up anything,
Just to be here with me?
Is it true you loved the life you had?
If you did then tell me this,
Why'd you have to go?
Is it true no one made you leave,
Then why did you...
Why'd you have to go?!?!

Time would heal the wounds.
Like a broken heart would slowly sew itself together.
The past would be forgotten.
As the future slowly take its place.
But you're suppose to be the one helping me heal.
You're the one that gave me my life so I could have a future.
I could cry,
But I don't who or what to cry for.
I could die,
But why should I?
You could've been here if you wanted to.
You would've been here if you wanted to.
You just never wanted to.
You never did.
You never did...

I have one thing I really need to know.
A question only you can answer.
Why'd you have to go?
