Curtains Close

by Liquid Dreams   May 1, 2007

The curtains open on the stage
I play my part so well
I play the audience's emotions
Under my enchanting spell

The music is playing loudly
I say my lines just right
I dance and sing with poise
Under the shining lights

The other characters and I
Interact with a joyful smile
If life was like this musical
It would be so worthwhile

The actors bow, the curtains close
And now I'm on my own
For this musical was just an act
And I'm still all alone.
