The Daughter You Never Knew

by TaNyabAbEE   May 3, 2007

"Hey there, DAD, it's me,
it's been so many years.
What happened to ou in my life,
you're the reason for my tears.

You've been the knot of hate,
deep within my heart.
But I didn't really care,
at least not at the start.

You never sent a letter,
or a single birthday card.
But, whatevver, I don't care,
life with you would be too hard.

I just wanted you to know,
that I really do exist.
And without you in my life,
these years have been a bliss.

You're the man who never cared,
but I'm your kid, through & through.
You may not remember me at all,
but I'm the daughter you never knew."

Based on a true story. My real dad doesn't claim me as his kid. Sad but true. Also in 17 yrs, he's never sent me a letter, or card or even called to see how I am. This is me telling him everything I want to. Please comment and rate, it would mean a lot. Thanks!:)
