I Wanna Save You ~Contest Poem~

The rope trembles in her hands
She's sure she can no longer stand
The pain is to much to bear
She cries, and knows no one will care

The blood drips from her fingertips
The razor is only a slip
One little nick
And nothing is fixed

Her sheer eyes
Can no longer lie
The pain has evidence there
The weight she can no longer bear

She knows she is all alone
The room that once held so much, that was home
I will lay me down to rest
I hope this is for the best

I know you once loved
I know you once placed me above
Now I'm cold and alone
In this place I had called home

My dearest darling, don't forget me when I'm gone
The blood stains on the paper are long
Her hands are trembling
And she is remembering

The rope is all that's left
Her one and only last guess
Her life is long gone
She wishes she could have moved on

Tie the rope tight
She didn't want to hang all night
Her love walks in to the horrific scene
He doesn't know what it means

As he holds her tight
He whispers the words that meant the light
The only words that could end all
I didn't wanna let you fall

I wanted you to be saved
You only had to be brave
Goodbye my love
I will meet you somewhere above
