Gut Morgen, World

by LaMusicienne   May 6, 2007

Snow falls-
and the road is blanketed-
Wisps fall like tendrils,
by the streetlights-

Gas station blues-
the quilt which stood between
us and the road ahead-
petrified-

Snow-coated streets ever faster,
-unsimplified-
more or less complicated,
and equaled disaster-

We got to school-
then a one-hour delay
And here's the clincher:
And unsuspected snow day!

We were all cooped up
In the cafeteria (or the gym)
And eventually, finally freed-
A rested day to begin-

Snow stopped falling-
The sun came out some-
And in the beautiful grey,
I found my Lonely One-

Snow fell-
and the road was blanketed-
Wisps fell like tendrils,
by the streetlights
