A Friend and a Wish

by XXXrusted silverXXXwas nvr good enough to be goldXXX   May 7, 2007

A penny in a fountain,
A simple wish was made,
A wish to find a real friend,
Who's love would never fade.

The heavens must have placed a blessing,
On the penny tossed that day,
because it was soon that I found you,
And a friendship that didn't stray.

The ripples in the water,
Showed the reflection of my past,
But you help me forget the things that I've done,
And realize the guilt won't always last.

You mean the world and more to me,
I wouldn't trade you for treasure,
You were explicitly sent for me,
I couldn't have a friend that's better.

A shooting star crosses the sky,
Another wish-another aspiration,
That our friendship lasts a lifetime,
We'll be each other's fortification.

Friendships are so special and yet so hard to hold on to with time.

Be carefull and dont let anyone take them away from you. Just a voice of experience. The pain and hurt is almost unbearable.

    Great Writing, Great Emotion!!
