Choose

by theffervescent   May 8, 2007

This dark and gloomy path
Shouldn't be the route we take.
The light and cheerful one
Would be the choice I'd like to make.

But life is pushing down on me
It's hard to even breathe.
And the things I'd love to do
Would be the last I could achieve.

But there's a will
So there's a way.
Don't bury feelings
Set them free.
That's where they're all supposed to be.
Surrounding all of us together
Whether Or not;
Shall not be.

The path is long
I'll take my time,
But storing feelings is a crime.
Another way is in my view
I take it wandering askew.

This one's more subtle,
Hard and bound,
I take a peak and look around.
It's boring plain and all the same.
Yes, here the rules are much too dense.
I push my mind to present tense,
And realize I'm back again,
From where I've started
And departed
This journey's made the least success.

So now you see how life is played.
The deck of cards is all but laid
In front of me.
Which cards are missing I don't know,
But later on I'll take the blow.
It doesn't matter anymore.
There's always help, so rest assured
Departure dates are all but doors.
