Realization of the Illusion

by elly   May 11, 2007

Lightly grasping what she has always wanted,
Just a slight turn of the head and she sees what she thought she had.
What a lie, that false reality
One she had known for such a time of her life.

In the blink of an eye, that illusion had shattered
Leaving those shards of glass protruding from her heart, her eyes
Blindness overtaking her vision, it clouds the image black
Nothing but feeling and fear overwhelm her.

She would stumble forward, not knowing where she was
The only thing she knew is what she heard, what she felt
The soliloquy of her heart trailed her as she fell through this seeming darkness,

The betrayer of her very soul; The translucent emotions plaguing her.

--So I broke away from some rhymy stuff and freewrote this at 3' in the morning. Tell me what you think? =] And I'm NEVER offended by criticism. --
