Watch the Breaking Girl

by elly   May 11, 2007

Desperate screams pour from her empty eye sockets,
Sounds that spoke of flailing agony
Raspy breathing says it all
This darling soul is soon dying.

Welcome her into your embrace,
We can sing our love into her empty heart
We can feel her body shudder and collapse in our care
And she will be no more.

Didn't we promise her ?
Didn't we say that she would not need to gasp for air
Nor shade her eyes from the scorching sun?
We said we'd do it all for her.

But see her now, cowering in that corner
Clutching at her chest as blood gushes out
Those screams that once rolled off her bruised lips have ceased
That once bright light that emanated from her is now dim

I can see it now in my mind's eye,
Alone she will suffer, alone she will die
Never to bother, never to burden
She'll slowly drift away, holding onto nothing but herself

[Done at 3' in the morning tooo haha. I was in the writing mood, but very tired. Criticism? Praise? This was influenced by watching my friends.]
