No Stranger

by Courtney   May 12, 2007

FYI: I wrote this about a year and a half ago. It's not that great, but I still like it.

You tell me how you truly feel
That I'm just a face
And mean nothing
You expect me to cry
Or get angry
But I'm numb
I'm no stranger to Pain

I hold my pillow at night
Longing to hold you instead
Heart full to the breaking point
Full of sadness, despair, and sorrow
Ready to burst
But the tears don't come
I'm no stranger to loneliness

Ripped to shreds
No more tears to cry
No more explosions of overwhelming sadness
No more sad songs to sing
I'm numb to the pain
And ignorant of the loneliness
I'm no stranger to heartbreak
