Rumors are said and done
Just for a little fun
Doesn't matter who they hurt
Just as long as you got the dirt

Said just to spice up your life
No matter what the price
Rumors are sweet revenge
But once they're about you
You must avenge

Rumors are said everyday
Made by people who have nothing better to say
I am told a rumor at least once each week
Because people have nothing better to speak

I am only a teenager
And have heard so many in my day
That I can't even remember half of which people say
I'm so sick and tired of this non-sense
Can't people stop making negative comments?

But soon you'll see
When the rumors are about you
You'll listen to me
And realize that rumors only hypnotize
Rumors are usually dirty lies

So remember when someone passes on the message
And you become part of the chain
If you pass it on
You too will be at blame.
