The Last Breath

by haunted   May 14, 2007

An explosion occurs,
and I run for you.
You lay there on the soil, bleeding everywhere.
There is a huge hole in your head,
And I cry out loud, "Why? WHY??"
You call my name,
And I am sorry, but there is nothing else I can do.

You cry as you stare at my tears.
You say, "I'm sorry", and close your eyes.
As you rest them, I think of the jerk I have been to you
In the past.
I burst out crying again, only this time,
The tears come out very, very painfully.

I wait for you to wake up,
But when I found you didn't,
I wailed, "NO! NO!!".
Before your last breath, I heard you mutter,
"Death will never separate us", but I guessed you were wrong.
The Last Breath you took will be the last happiness I will
Ever have.
