All the heroes are dead

by Timothy   May 16, 2007

1st verse:
It's not a simple thing,
surviving this game;
Nothing seems to work out,
No one remains the same.

No one knows, no one cares,
If you are right or wrong;
There isn't a soul left,
Who sheds a tear over a sad song.

Chorus:
All the heroes are dead---
In an urban jungle...and a nearly desolate country road;
No peace, no goodness,
It's a permanent, deteriorating mode.
You trample the grass in your search,
Looking for a single rose;
You believe perfume MUST prevail,
But, you are standing in a graveyard, and nothing beautiful grows.

2nd Verse:
Children grow up too fast,
Ready to kill at ten;
How can there be salvation,
For all the little women and men?

No one knows, no one cares,
If there's justice or decay;
The soulless are uniform,
and there are no heroes left...at the end of days.

Repeat Chorus:
All the heroes are dead---
In an urban jungle...and a nearly desolate country road;
No peace, no goodness,
It's a permanent, deteriorating mode.
You trample the grass in your search,
Looking for a single rose;
You believe perfume MUST prevail,
But, you are standing in a graveyard, and nothing beautiful grows.
