Cradle the rose, be mindless of the thorns
By beauty be mesmerized, let the softness soothe
Droplets of shining blood beading on petals
The same shade of luscious red
Folding over our eyes and closing them to lies
The rosy tint shields us from the world's harshness
Obscure from sight the shadows of eternity
Cast aside the cold hand of Death.
Warmth of the embrace enfold on me
A greater dream than Morpheus could ever grant
Take from he the misery of the world
Lift me on wings of rose petals
Let them fall about us, in all their shades
Falling like tears on silken cheeks
May our wings hold us high when our knees
Buckle under the pressure of our joy.
Surround us in the scent of heaven, of love
The brightness of nature reflecting our passion
Eternal flower, beauty shielded by violence.
Draw my blood, I am not worthy.
Yet in my selfishness, I shall hold you still
Yet not tight enough, lest I crush you.
Beauteous rose, draw from me the crimson vitae
The blood of my life, my life for yours.
A bed of thorns, a blanket of roses
We will walk on bloody feet, and be rewarded
Love eternal, harsh and enfolded in thorns.
Paradise within, protective without.
Let our love be as you, dear rose,
Born of seed, nurtured by the Mother.
We are eternal, and live as with you, rose,
Face to the sun.. eternal
