Blue Orchid

by Ryan C   May 18, 2007

Sweet nothings generate around you,
Blue orchids appear where ever you step,
The Jungle regards you, their King,
Turn July to August.

And you're deeper than they think,
I can see the rippling tides down a mile at least,
And your words are unrecorded in untold time,
But they seem to make my breath stop.

A blue orchid on my shoulder,
And even when you float away,
I trust deep in my lost breath,
One of your pedals will stay.

Latching onto my heart,
Stop the beating when you leave,
For my heart only turns for you,
For you make me believe.

You'll always be the only boy,
My only flower,
The missing gear from my heart,
The empty stem on my shoulder.

And the only light in my eyes,
Is the light within yours,
For the height you help me soar,
Reaches past the sun.

We can make it rise,
Soaring up high forever,
And regardless of the longing lovers,
Please, let's never let it set.

You're nothing more than everything,
But boy, you're nothing less,
And the way you set the sun,
It reminds me I was blessed.

A blue orchid on my shoulder,
And even when you float away,
I trust deep in my lost breath,
One of your pedals will stay.

Latching onto my heart,
Stop the beating when you leave,
For my heart only turns for you,
For you make me believe.

We can fly right past that second star,
Straight on till morning,
We'll never let the sun set again,
A never ending day.

But the days we can stay up high,
Are finite,
And the sun's always going to set,
When you leave the dance floor.

A blue orchid on my shoulder,
And even when you float away,
I trust deep in my lost breath,
One of your pedals will stay.

Latching onto my heart,
Stop the beating when you leave,
For my heart only turns for you,
For you make me believe.
