Angels

by Ryan C   Jun 24, 2007

Searching their entire life,
For someone to sweep them away,
Searching for their own true love,
An angel there to ignite the day.

People doubting everyday,
Saying they don't exist,
That angels are just myths and lies,
Created by optimists.

Superheroes live and die
Fighting the good fight
They spread their wings and fly
They are the angels of the night

Everybody waits to die,
Hoping to earn their wings,
But they don't really listen,
The song everybody sings.

Everybody sees the angels,
As dead and gone for good,
And not something that can be created,
From the start of childhood.

The secret to earn your wings,
To learn to stop the inner strife,
Learn to put others before you,
And learn to save a life.
