Can it be

Can this soul be rid of this pain,
its eyes bleeding rivers of tears.
Can this hole ever be filled
be devoid of all depression and fears.
Can it be that somewhere you are there
somewhere you actually exist
Can it be that you're sitting and waiting
as I search for what my heart has missed.
Could you really be real
could you be searching for me
Must I sit and wait for you
and allow my brain to be free.
Free from the thoughts and demons
free from the whispers and shouts.
Whilst you are peacefully looking
Inside my head is all fights and bouts
It messes around and causes trouble
telling me you cannot be real
doomed to wander alone on this earth
Is this the only emotion I can feel?
Can it be that you are really out there
that you are the one for me
Can it be that i need not fear
because we will be together finally.

Can it be?
