My Friend

No matter how many times I've lost myself
Whether it be one or two
I still find ways to get by
I still find ways to get through
Because of you I got this far
Always there to extend your hand
We share a common pain so you know
You're the only one who understands
I have been heartbroken more than few
Physically beaten more than two
But listen here
I tell you, this much is true
That I thank God everyday
For giving me a friend like you

    A beautiful friendship poem. the poem is an excellent read, however, the flow seemed a bit rough, and wording was a bit too simple.

    I loved how you showed your emotions so clearly through the poem, I could tell throughout that you felt deeply for the subject

    Simple and too the point and I loved the entire thing especially "We share a common pain so you know
    You're the only one who understands" since I've realized the closest friends often know the same pain as I do so I can relate. Job well done keep it up 5/5
