Chasing shadows

Chasing shadows from the past
how long will this nightmare last
turning nightmares into life
getting cut up by the knife

returning to the past in my mind
your darkened shadow i fail to find
I'm searching for you, are you aware?
searching for something thats never been there.

are you ever coming back to rescue me?
will you ever set my burning heart free?
can you feel and understand the pain I'm going through?
all from chasing the shadow belonging to you.
