Realizing the true you

It use to be the smiles and laughs
fake feelings that seem to last

they are the emotions you can't tell exist
you hide your pain and take harmful risks

after all that ends you grow up to be
someone who doesn't have to be happy

you can show your feelings care free
until you regain your sight to see

realizing you are made to be fake
hurting because you know you are a mistake

    This is really good writing, but I'm a little too optomistic to relate to the end. maybe I'm missing the whole message - I'm a little dense sometimes.
