Poem on a prison wall

by xXsecrets behind my smileXx   May 22, 2007

This one a actually wrote as a school project...
I was asked to write a poem you might find written on a prison wall...
...comments?

Laughing in pain
Sitting in hope
Crying in shame
Holding onto the rope

To be lonely and scared
To be useless and unloved
When your life has been teared
And you are constantly shoved

If only you were not boxed in
If you could see the light
If you had never commit that sin
You would not be holding on so tight

So now while I wait for the sound of the guns
I hide behind these hell-covered walls
I sit and pray to my loved ones
I will come home, after my life falls
