This is the day
that my entire life flipped around
and everything stopped
as i watched you fall to the ground.

i stood by your side
you laughed and smiled
and i remembered the days
when you were just a child.

but time flies by
and memories fade
i closed my eyes
so i couldn't see how much you weighed

your bones were frail
your skin was dry
your eyes were yellow
you were soon to die

but i held on to hope
until this very day
when i watched you stop
and cried at this display

your bones were shattered
your blood was spattered
your last tear dropped
as my world stopped...
