My eyes upon this world

by Marylou L   May 26, 2007

I know what’s inside of me.
So don't deny it to me.
I speak the truth
The truth that's walled up inside of me

I'm not afraid to open my mouth
Or my eyes to this world
Most the time I'm just ashamed
Especially since I can't turn away

It's inside of me
So why all this awkward pressure?
This odd little mixture?
This mixture of pain, rage...so many more

This list is so long that it goes past my legs
This list of mine starts at my eyes then slowly works its way down
it unravels more at the fingertips, gets to the knee bones.
It goes so far it meets up with my toes

my feelings are mixed
But I’m sure it’s filled more with confusion
