HE WENT AWAY

Tell me why did you take him from me?
He was my everything, why couldn't you see?
When i had him i needed no other,
we were happy to know we belonged to each other.

I loved him more than anything in life,
i longed forever to be his wife.
But I'm still here, no ring on my finger,
because of you we will never be together.

Do you realize how many nights i cry?
My weeping eyes are never dry.
Or do you just sit and watch me whimper?
Knowing my thoughts as i wish it was over.

I knew deep down he was going to leave,
and for that lost love ill eternally grieve.
But he was too tired and he wanted it to end,
there came a point where he could no longer pretend.

I begged, i cried, screamed for him to stay,
but you called him over and he just walked away.
Well now he is with you look after him i pray,
because God you'll have me to reckon with some day.

    Wait... i think i understand this now.

    I read it through and i was thinking, some cow has stolen him away but then the last line hit me like a sledgehammer.
    Was it God that took him away...

    I may be completely wrong so please let me know.
    But what a powerful piece either way..

    Dearest Kelly,
    you poems always blow me away, the emotions that floods thru every word is like a never ending torent, each poem relly shows the pain and i wish there was something i could do but i implore you to keep writing, i'll keep reading, again 5/5 for this poem :) like you its amazingly perfect in every way :)

    Aww Kelly this poem is so sad, hang in there girl, I can't imagine the pain of losing someone you love this way its very sad and heartbreaking. If this poem is true, I hope your okay, and although things may never be what they were before eventually they will get better just stay strong. 5/5
