Dreaming of normality

Lying in bed
you seem Serene
the smile on your lips
like a whispery dream.

body twisted out of shape
gnarled feet and hands
face like an angel
moving over golden sands

strength from within
is what you show
a mind blissfully active
encompassing all that you know

all i can feel
is the love we share
continuing on through life
with no real cares

But this is not real
a waking minds curse
for i am not the one standing
the roles are reversed
