Teenage Girl

by SamiJo   Apr 19, 2004

Life as a teenage girl, is alot harder than it appears
so many insecurities, through the many years
what should i do? what should i say?
are questions that ponder our minds every day
i understand, that guys have difficulties too,
but living life as a teenage girl, is like living in a zoo
life as a teenage girl, seems to always have a plan
and if you're not or havent been, then you'll never understand
one of the most important things, that a teenage girl can have
is someone to call their best friend, someone to share a laugh
there are so many things, that you can say to a girl
to hurt her feelings, and seem to ruin her world
somethings can be said or done, to scar a girl for life
i'm talking about a scar in the heart, not one made by a knife
even though i'm sitting here, trying my best to explain
life as a teenage girl is something you'll never attain
so as i said earlier, i will say once more
if you're not or havent been, a teenage girl's life, you'll never explore

very insightful, SamiJo... I remember well the difficulties of being a teenage girl. I almost think you could have delved farther into this subject... but maybe you have in another poem... anyway, this was very well done and the frustration/struggles were described and explained very well....

    This line:
somethings can be said or done
should be "some things" (with a space)

Split lines in two and make stanzas.
