If I could spend my entire life
Just sitting in your shadow, upon me cast
If I could live through this entire world
And, in your reflected glory, bask,
I would give you me
As, with you, it is entirety.

If I could just kiss the hem
Of your robed feet
If I could just have a smile from you
My heart would really leap
Like the sun into the sky does, surely
This life is entirety.

If I ever waited upon
Your every command and order
If it was your wish
I'd go and die in a corner.

If you never did care
And if you would not see
That I would do anything for you
But that's not entirety.
