The Silver River- Song

by Coeur Cassa Sage   Jun 1, 2007

People hiding in cold fear
You can tell that he's been here
Broken hearts, they line the street
Taking cold unwelcome heat
Mistreated and misused
Almost like they've been abused
Silence is all that fills the air
Dead souls walking everywhere
His evil intent rose
All while a silver river flows

My how luck has changed
How hope has rearranged
Now it's a town no more
All the souls, they cannot soar
The river, how it's transformed
All because of this bad storm

The river it flowed deep and true
Beside the willow trees they grew
The river was clear and flowed strong
Everything they got along
But now he has moved on
Took his love and took his song
Left destruction in his wake
The poor hearts are what he takes
The river once was gay with songs
But now to silver it belongs

My how luck has changed
How hope has rearranged
Now it's a town no more
All the souls, they cannot soar
The river, how it's transformed
All because of this bad storm

Dreams of love they disappear
The truth of pain is all that's near
He took my love he took my song
That's when everything went wrong
Lies, they flew left and right
All during the cold night
Fear is what is lingering
While I am fingering
The notes of my life

My how luck has changed
How hope has rearranged
Now it's a heart no more
Oh my soul, it cannot soar
The river, how it's transformed
All because of this bad storm
