A Shielded Image

by Hatori   Jun 6, 2007

Her heart is a shield,
Never to be unconcealed,
A rude thought or remark,
Could never be enough to embark,
On a thought of revenge,
Or a glint of avenge.

Her mind is now a locked case,
Never letting her feelings take place,
Over what must be done,
Or is yearning to be undone.

The only way,
To free her from this dismay,
Is to end her miserable life,
As time slowly causes many a strife.

The time has come,
She is no longer the shield,
She is an angel who was concealed,
Locked up for far too long, just waiting to be healed.

That was a very powerful piece of writing! I'm very impressed! *Claps* You're thoughts are very well organized and I loved how the poem progressed instead of stalling. Your describing of certain key thoughts are very well done, and I can tell that your mind is one that's deeper than what is seen. Keep writing and Great job!!! :)

    Loved the comparisons :-)
your use of words is simply irresistible..
now, don't get offended but I must ask-how come your English is so good even though you're not a native speaker??

    Bravo again!
