Halos to Horns

I thought that you would love me and stay true to me,
I thought you were an angel, and that your love was heavenly.
I thought that I could trust you just to wait for me,
I thought you were the one who would help me believe.
I thought that I could lean on you when I thought I would fall,
I thought that you would be there for me whenever I would call.
I thought that you would hold me close when I had a bad day,
I thought that you would be my rock that you would never sway.
I thought youd be my angel, till words ran out of rhymes,
But now Ive seen that halo turn to horns in time.
