Son of a Mother

by Disturbed and Under Age   Jun 9, 2007

She says "I'm so sorry" and "I love you"
when She leaves a hand print on his face
but She only says these things
to wipe away her own disgrace
and he knows it
He can feel how much She doesn't care
and he knows someday She won't be there
He can see through her disguise
and every time She lies
the Rage and Hate keep building up
He'd never hit a woman, but She'd be a good excuse
let's just say he couldn't take the abuse
but he does
They share the same blood and the same brown eyes
and he swears there's never a night he lays and cries
But the pain is always there hidden deep inside his heart
She can lie to the neighbors but the truth is tearing him apart
He wishes he could die but he survives everyday
there's nothing anyone could do now anyway
She's dug her nails into his brain
and driven him insane
He hides the proof under baggy, black clothes
so noone sees the scars he makes
and won't see through all the smiles he fakes
countless are the scars they've made
with her words and his razor blade
But he thinks it helps even when he knows its wrong
and as the blood drips from his wrist
staining the creases in his fist
He swears this is the last time
