Close Inside +for me, my mom, & Chris

by Disturbed and Under Age   Jun 12, 2007

Hold me close inside
Let me float into your heart and hide
keep me safe in a nice dark place
where no one can see my hideous face
protect my pain
and wash it all with the rain
forget the blood dripping in the mud
it's only reality in all its informality
and someday it'll all go away
catch my tears like dew on the leaves
touch my lips like silken sleeves
watch the petals fall as the roses wilt
lick my wounds spawned from guilt
take away the blackness
suck out the sadness
And please don't let me slip
so far away forever
so we can be together
Hold me close inside
Save me when there's no where else to hide
Hold me dear and forever near
and take our sorrow with the tide
touch my hands so soft with our hearts high aloft
forget the words I said and the evil in our head
we are one and the same
sharing more than one name
so hold me close inside
far from the rip tide
thats tearing us apart from us
Perfect only amounts to guts and pus
See through my soul
one that only you know
gaze into my eyes that are yours
through my veins your blood that pours
bluer than the Caribbean Waters
and a brighter red than Briar Rose
with our thorns that keep the world at bay
and a bed of mirrors where we can lay
Hold me close inside
let me float into your heart and hide
